;)Hope you enjoy the series! A little difficult to swim in the direction you want sometimes, and occasionally dips into boring territory. Many of these games don't need to be *fun*, but I find myself conflicted, as many don't use the medium to their advantage. Games like the library of dead-and-revived studio Telltale Games somehow manage to fail on two, or even all three of those elements, struggling to find a purposeful, interesting narrative within empty, droll design. The ending goes on a bit too long though, and the camera can cause a couple issues while you're exploring. ABZU is a beautiful game, and it's not really about "beating" it. I can't recommend this title enough, and it's definitely one you'll want to check out. Beautiful game to look at and with a good message. While the gameplay isn't exactly captivating, the game's atmosphere, world, and music just create that this stunning piece that you get to play and explore through. Abzu's charming aquatic world is always softly in motion. Abzû is a charming game that's obsessed with the beauty of undersea life. Simple and easy game to play with very basic easy to solve puzzles. Beautiful soundtrack, however the "story" is somewhat abstract. A quick game that'd I'd recommend for people that don't have a lot of time or want a break from a combat heavy game. It does everything that Journey does, and doesn't do a single thing better. Talk about breathtaking. You need to play this game by yourself and just get sucked in. I'm at a crossroads for what I should rate ABZU. The brevity encourages you to finish it in one setting, but the only incentive it seems to offer for doing each consecutive level is "You'll see a few new fish." The controls are tanky and it's way too easy to overcorrect when ascending or descending. sweet flow, aweseome visuals and great message. For a typical gamer this is an underwater walking simulator. One of the best underwater exploration games out there. These are all superb. The episodic format of the games seems to be an ironic nail in the coffin of quality, as I find myself wondering a lot "why isn't this just a TV show?". I got chills all over my body many times during the game, at the breath taking scenes playing out. It didn't hit the same highs as Journey, but this game is certainly playing in the same ball park. The game does start slow. Glad I tried it as a rental. Journey underwater. Only the story felt a little shallow, and I wanted more after the ending. Pretty but that's about it. Pleasant for a basic playthrough, but one part of the ending and some collectibles are fairly irritating due to imprecise controls. Really great game, but it suffered a bit with nothing to do but look at fish. Immerse yourself in a vibrant hidden world bursting with color and life as you descend into the heart of the ocean. I did enjoy my time swimming from the start because simple … The visuals along with the music paint a distinct tone for each chapter and this is highlighted by the different aquatic animals which take the centre stage. Dat art, music, direction and technical graphics off the chain. I liked the meditation spots and getting close-up looks at all the unique species, but once I got to the last couple of chapters, I pretty much discovered them only to swim away without meditating for the sake of triggering the collectible counter. At all. Beautiful game but art director of 'Flower' and 'Journey'. This is the equivalent of video game comfort food, and if you are looking for something easy to look at and enjoy, this will get the job done. Not my style, though it is beautiful game. Great short game, relaxing and thought provoking. Immerse yourself in a vibrant hidden world bursting with color and life as you descend into the heart of the ocean. It's an experience that's worth having especially since it doesn't require much of your time or your money. The casual gameplay and intriguing story, make you feel relaxed going with the flow, following the jet-stream to wherever it takes you, without pressure to explore every nook and cranny to complete it (storyline about 2hrs; all achievements around 10-15hrs). Its as simple as that. Such a great game, if you like games were you can calm down, then this is for you. 4/5. But Journey exists. From the perspective of a "Video Game", I can say that it is quite boring. Really pretty. Borrows equal parts from Journey and Thatgamecompany’s previous title Flower. Artistically, it's a gorgeous game on just about every level, but ultimately I wasn't terribly impressed. Tip #10: Take Your Time and Enjoy! Abzu is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 31. Similar to Journey the story is quite abstract, but maybe more so here. I was entranced by how beautiful this game looks. Then you end up at one point in this Atlantis like lost city and actually get to walk which is unique! Beautiful game, very soothing. Please feel free to like and comment on our videos! Still, execution being detailed and captivating it's definitely worth a dive. Short game but beautiful concept. It's got a gorgeous art style and colour palette, excellent animation, and a wonderful sense of atmosphere. But mostly it works. A beautiful game that, in my opinion, illustrates the idea of video games as an art form. Not a single line of writing and yet i feel like ive experienced a deeply touching story. From the art director of Journey, ABZÛ is a beautiful underwater adventure that evokes the dream of diving. Amazing game when you play it you get a sort of serene feeling almost like you are meditating. There are tidal pools, meditation statues, and large florescent seashells to find, about a dozen of each total and scattered across the different areas and a decent percentage of them you'll likely come across through natural play/exploring. A neat little experience that's dripping with style. Korean HaEun: Ninja princess and genius moody cow from South Korea ;DTHIS SERIESIn this series, we are playing Abzu! The game itself is in the same style as Journey, but underwater. It is very beautiful in a very different way, but not quite like Journey was. More like 75% but eh...good, varied environments and beautiful music. Visually stunning walking Simulator without walking and light puzzle solving elements. I just wish the story and collectibles mattered more. That said, this game is very good, and I give it an 8/10. The serene, melancholy underwater exploration and beautiful soundtrack alone make this a journey worth taking. Very very short game but it is so worth it. it gets a bit dull towards the latter half but it must to get the required feeling of extacy in the end. The most amount of fishes I have ever seen in a vidja. It's aesthetic, has a wonderful soundtrack that makes you feel like you're under the sea, and atmosphere that's mythical but beautiful. 6 for linearity and its inherent qualities as a video "game": 10 for its visuals, effects, music, and storytelling.
